Obesity threatens half the Americas by 2030:

A recent study predicted that by 2030, 48.9% of adults in the United States would suffer from a significant increase in weight, while 24.2 % would suffer from excessive obesity.
Zachary Ward, lead researcher of the study from Harvard University in Boston, said: "Obesity is getting worse in all states, especially obesity, which was very rare and now will be the most common category in many states and sub-groups throughout the country.
